Major International Accolade for Key Team Member of Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai


Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai is delighted to announce that Auric Li has been named Owner’s Representative of the Year at the Hotelier Awards ceremony on October 30th in Shanghai. Organised by Rivera Events, this is the major benchmarking celebration of the year for hotels throughout China, Macau, Hong Kong.

Auric’s hospitality career started in Shenzhen in the early 1990s when the SEZ was only beginning to develop. He spent a decade learning every facet of front-of-house management from Front Desk Manager to Front Office Manager before he joined OCT’s International Hotel Management Company where he was involved in pre-opening and overall operation of a number of different hotels.

His background of successful operations experience made Auric a natural choice as the Owners’ Representative when he joined Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai in 2013. He was closely involved in every phase of the renovation of the original Nanhai Hotel as a separate wing of Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai. Opened in July 2017, this lifestyle-focused 218-room facility includes a large health club and kid’s club.

In addition to a degree in English, Auric earned a Hotel & Tourism Management master’s degree at Hong Kong’s Polytechnic University. Among diverse honours, Auric was appointed a judge of star hotel properties in Guangdong Province.

Auric has played a major role in the numerous awards garnered by the Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai. His wide-ranging hotel management experience shows in his full support for every aspect of the hotel including Human Resources, Business Development, Engineering and Security, as well as Finance. Thanks to his professional management and coordination, Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai has achieved remarkable results in every field from operational performance to brand awareness and reputation.

Auric has fully supported Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai in its quest for outstanding results. Some notable areas that benefited from his input include drafting the detailed KPI evaluation index for the hotel as the guide for year-end staff bonuses.

The Hotel Leadership index rose from 79% to 87% in 2017. The Hotel Balance Score Card exceeded expectations for the 3rd consecutive year, and won many Hilton Awards during 2017.
