Shekou Ferry Services Cancelled Ahead of Tropical Storm MAWAR

Shenzhen China Merchants Shekou International Cruise Terminal Co. Ltd. has announced that all ferry service to and from Shekou have been cancelled until at least 12 noon today Monday September 4th. The cancellation is due to rains brought on by Tropical Storm MAWAR. 

Shekou Ferry Schedules:
 
 * Shekou to/from the Hong Kong International Airport
 * Shekou to/from Hong Kong Central
 * Shekou to/from Macau
 * Shekou to/from Zhuhai

UPDATE: All Ferry Services to and from Hong Kong International Airport, Central and Shekou will resume as normal on Monday August 28th.
The Following are Cancelled Monday August 28th:
 * From Shekou to Zhuhai: 7:30am
 * From Shekou to Macau New Terminal: 8:15am
 * From Macau Taipa to Shekou: 8:30am
 * From Zhuhai to Shekou: 8:30am
 * From Macau New Terminal to Shekou: 9:45am

Shekou Ferry Services Cancelled Ahead of Typhoon Hato

UPDATE: Ferry services to or from Macau New Terminal is back to normal today Friday August 25th.

From Shekou to Macau Taipa; however has two cancelled ferries: 11:00am and 2:00pm and from Macau Taipa to Shekou has two cancelled ferries as well: 12:30pm and 3:30pm.

We'll update this post as soon as services are scheduled to resume.

WATCHOUT: e-Bikes being confiscated AGAIN at Shekou Old Street & GongYuan Nanlu

At 9:50 am Wednesday August 2nd, police were seen confiscating e-bikes on the corner of Shekou Old Street and Gongyuan Nanlu. 

UPDATE: At 10:30am they were no longer there.

Shekou Ferry Service Cancelled Ahead Tropical Cyclone ROKE

UPDATE: 2:50 PM - Shenzhen China Merchants Shekou International Cruise Terminal Co. Ltd. has confirmed that all ferry services to and from Shekou will return to normal from Monday morning July 24th.

WATCHOUT: e-Bikes being confiscated at Corner of Shekou Old Street & GongYuan Nanlu

At 10am Friday July 21st, police were seen confiscating e-bikes on the corner of Shekou Old Street and Gongyuan Nanlu. Watch out if you're riding in the area.

Shekou Ferry Service to Resume From 12 Noon Today

At 10am Tuesday June 13th, Shenzhen China Merchants Shekou International Cruise Terminal Co. Ltd. announced that all ferry service to and from Shekou will resume after 12 noon today after being suspended yesterday at 1pm ahead of Tropical Cyclone Merbok. 

Considering how much it's still raining now, we assume this may change. If it does, we'll post it here. Stay tuned!

Shekou Ferry Service Cancelled Ahead Tropical Cyclone Merbok

Shenzhen China Merchants Shekou International Cruise Terminal Co. Ltd. has announced that all ferry service to and from Shekou have been cancelled as of 1pm today. The cancellation is due to the arrival of Tropical Cyclone Merbok. 

No information has yet to be provided as to when the ferry service will resume. We'll post it here as soon as we know.

CAUTION: Hole in Xinghua Road in front of Seaview Gardens

A hole has appeared today on Xinghua Road in front of Seaview Gardens near the Starbucks in Nanhai e-Cool.
 

 
No news yet as to what caused this hole that is close to two squares meter in size. 
 

 
The hole was cordoned off by the time we arrived; however, no workers were on site to answer any questions.
 
Please take precautions in the area.
