On October 30th, 2017, the Shenzhen Metro decided to try out a new method of easing passenger flow they call "Skipping Stop." As the name implies, the train you're on may decide to skip certain stops. As expected, netizens began complaining as soon as the metro published this news.
The primary complaint is that riders now need to pay extra attention to the announcements in metro stations and when they're on the train because it's only by these verbal announcement over the loudspeakers that passengers become aware that the train will skip a stop.

The self-service e-Channel stalls in the exit hall of Shenzhen Bay are undergoing construction from October 14th for about one month, ShekouNews reported today. The renovation is expected to take one month.
The goal is to replace 17 old stalls with 19 new ones; increasing the total number of stalls from 37 to 39. During the construction only 20 stalls will be available, so expect delays while exiting during busy times.
The article advises tourists to choose other exit halls such as Futian or Luohu, or avoid going during busy times; especially from 8:00-11:00 weekend mornings.

The days of comfortably crossing the border between Hong Kong and Shenzhen in a car are coming to an end.
One of the most popular ways for foreigners in China to go between Hong Kong and Shenzhen has been by car. Shared vans were plentiful and could be hired on either side of the border, from the airport, or even via door-to-door service.

Every year China waives the toll fees on its highways across the country on holidays such as National Day on October 1st. Since the Mid-Autumn Festival lands on October 4th this year, the period of free use of the highways this year is the longest ever!
From 00:00 October 1st to 24:00 October 8th, toll fees on all highways across China are waived for motorcycles and passenger vehicles with seven seats or less.

The number of travelers on the Shenzhen Metro is expected to increase this year compared to last year, according to Shenzhen Metro operators.
In order to meet the demand of passengers, on Sept 30 (Saturday), Oct 1 and Oct 4, the Shenzhen Metro will prolong its run time from 6:30 to 24:00. During other public holiday days, all lines expect for line 11 will run from 6:30 to 23:00. Line 11 will close half an hour later than other lines.

The Shenzhen Metro recently announced that, due to scheduled maintenance, service on Line 1 will not be available at various metro stations from 9:20pm on Saturday September 23rd.
According to their original announcement the following stations will be closed and there will be no trains passing these metro stations:
Qian Hai Wan Station
Li Yu Men Station
Da Xin Station

Shenzhen China Merchants Shekou International Cruise Terminal Co. Ltd. has announced that all ferry service to and from Shekou have been cancelled until at least 12 noon today Monday September 4th. The cancellation is due to rains brought on by Tropical Storm MAWAR.

From Shekou to Macau Taipa; however has two cancelled ferries: 11:00am and 2:00pm and from Macau Taipa to Shekou has two cancelled ferries as well: 12:30pm and 3:30pm.
We'll update this post as soon as services are scheduled to resume.
UPDATE: Shekou Ferry Service to and from Macau will resume Friday. There have been no announcements about when Zhuhai services will resume.
