UPDATE: The HKO has extended their Thunderstorm warning to 6:30 p.m.
UPDATE: The SZMB cancelled the Lightning Warning at 4:00 p.m.
UPDATE: The SZMB cancelled the Rainstorm Warnings at 2:50 p.m.
UPDATE: At 12:35 p.m., the HKO extended their Thunderstorm Warning to 2:30 p.m.
UPDATE: At 12:30 p.m., the SZMB upgraded the Yellow Rainstorm Warning to Orange for Futian District, Luohu District, Longhua District, Nanwan, Bantian, Pinghu, Pingdi, Longgang, Longcheng, Yuanshan, Henggang, Buji, and Jihua.
UPDATE: The HKO re-issued their Thunderstorm Warning at 11:55 a.m. It will be valid until 1:00 p.m.; unless extended.
UPDATE: At 11:25 a.m., the SZMB updated their Rainstorm Warning to Yellow citywide.
UPDATE: The HKO did not extend their Thunderstorm Warning. It is no longer active. However, the SZMB has updated their weather forecast for the day.
UPDATE: At 10:05 a.m., the SMZB removed the Red Rainstorm Warning but extended the Orange Rainstorm Warning to Futian District, Luohu District, Pingshan District, Nanwan, Pingdi, Baolong, Longgang, Longcheng, Yuanshan, Henggang, and Buji.

UPDATE: At 9:10 a.m., the HKO issued their Thunderstorm Warning. It will be valid until 11:15 unless extended.
A few squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong. Members of the public are advised to take the following precautions when thunderstorms occur:
1. Stay indoors. Seek shelter in buildings if you are engaging in outdoor activities.
2. Do not stand on high grounds. Keep away from highly conductive objects, trees or masts.
By 7:40 a.m., Wednesday July 10th, the Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau (SZMB) had issued four weather warnings for today. As of 9 a.m. the Hong Kong Observatory hadn't yet issued any.
The SZMB's first warning was their Yellow Lightning Warning for the entire city that came at 2:05 a.m.
This was followed by a citywide Yellow Rainstorm Warning at 6:15 a.m.
At 7:15 a.m. the city upgraded that warning to Orange for the Pingdi, Longgang, Longcheng, and Yuanshan areas.
At 7:40 a.m., the city upgraded the Rainstorm Warning to RED for the Pingshan District and Baolong.
Current weather forecasts are only showing rain for a couple of hours; however, we can't be too careful. If you're in the impact areas, please take the necessary precautions listed in the warnings above.
