New Weather Warnings for Friday April 19th, 2019

Both the Hong Kong Observatory and the Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau have issued fresh weather warnings this morning after cancelling yesterday's warnings.
UPDATE: The HKO's Thunderstorm Warning expired at 8 p.m. There are no more active weather warnings.
Though rainstorm warning has been cancelled, people should stay alert to the danger that may be brought about by river flooding.
UPDATE: By 7:10 p.m., the HKO cancelled it's Amber Rain Warning and the SZMB's alerts were all cancelled. The HKO's Thunderstorm warning is still in effect until at least 8pm.
UPDATE: The HKO has extended their Thunderstorm Warning to 8 p.m.
UPDATE: The HKO has extended their Thunderstorm Warning to 6 p.m. Additionally, they issued their Amber Rainstorm warning at 2:40 p.m.
This means that heavy rain has fallen or is expected to fall generally over Hong Kong, exceeding 30 millimetres in an hour, and is likely to continue.
There will be flooding in some low-lying and poorly drained areas. People who are likely to be affected should take necessary precautions to reduce their exposure to risk posed by the heavy rain and flooding.
Heavy rain may bring about flash floods. People should stay away from watercourses. People who are likely to be affected by flooding should take necessary precautions to avoid losses.
UPDATE: At 1:15 p.m., The HKO extended their Thunderstorm Warning to 4 p.m. and the SZMB upgraded their Rain Storm warning to Orange for most of the city.
UPDATE: The Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau issued a Blue Gale Warning at 12:20 p.m. for parts of the city.
The Hong Kong Observatory's Thunderstorm Warning issued this morning was extended until 1:15 p.m. today at 11:05 a.m.
Isolated thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong. Members of the public are advised to take the following precautions when thunderstorms occur:
- Stay indoors. Seek shelter in buildings if you are engaging in outdoor activities.
- Do not stand on high grounds. Keep away from highly conductive objects, trees or masts.
The Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau issued a yellow Lightning Warning and a yellow Rainstorm warning at 11:20 a.m. and 11:50 a.m. respectively, both city-wide.
Expect rain most of the day today.
