Hong Kong’s Lunar New Year fireworks show, originally scheduled for this coming Saturday, has been called off out of respect for the victims of Hong Kong's deadliest traffic accident in more than a decade, the South China Morning Post reported yesterday.
 
As of last night, nineteen people were confirmed dead and 66 others injured from the accident that took place last Saturday when a KMB double-decker travelling from Sha Tin racecourse towards Tai Po suddenly swerved out of control and flipped on its side while making a turn near Tai Po Mei. Important Shenzhen Airport News for Spring Festival Travelers

During the first week of the Spring Festival travel season, more than 950,000 passengers traveled through the Shenzhen Airport. To manage the increased passenger flow expected during the peak season, from February 8th, the Shenzhen Airport is preparing additional measures.

At present, there are three specific peak departures times from Shenzhen Airport: 07:00-08: 00, 10:00 -13:00 and 22: 00-23: 00. To cope with the increased passenger flow, Shenzhen airport has announced that their check-in counters and security access points will open at 03:30 am from February 8 to February 14 to allow more time for passengers catching early flights.

MoBikes "Forbidden" from Shenzhen Bay Park and Port

Shekou News recently reported that MoBike will use a combination of Internet of Things (IoT), big data and artificial intelligence to formally launch an "electronic fence" in Shenzhen during the Spring Festival in order to guide bicycle users to the proper use of and orderly parking of their bicycles.

The first batch of "forbidden zones," to be set up during the Spring Festival, include Shenzhen Bay Park, Shenzhen Bay Port and other areas. These forbidden zones will be marked in grey in the MoBike APP.
