RECAP: Shenzhen White Collar Fight Night (WCFN 033: Dec 12, 2020)
The largest White Collar Boxing Event ever in China was held last Saturday, December 12th, at Gateway One Commercial Plaza in SeaWorld Shekou, Shenzhen.
The Fight, which was the first ever open air public event of its kind, was organized by Miki Media, an up and coming social media consultancy based in Mainland China, and was co-hosted by the White Collar Boxing Federation (WCFN), led by John Graham Harper.
The highly anticipated event drew sponsors from all over the region and included brands such as Keep Breathing, a fresh air technology company, SZMuri, a German QC and manufacturing firm, and Saga, a Dongguan based luxury watch company.
Other notable sponsors were British pub, George and Dragon Bar, an expat staple in Sea World, and nightclub, Hollywood Baby, another local legend that’s been in operation in Dongguan for 18 years. Extreme Watch, also lent its support to their extreme fighters that took place in the competition.
In addition to the main ticket, the event featured a range of performances from martial arts Masters of Qwan Ki Do, to tango performances by Columbian Performers Shadini and Edwar.
There were 13 main fights for the evening, including 2 female fights. These 26 brave souls from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds trained for months prior to the event, were in peak physical condition, and put on one hell of a show. All told, the 26 fighters bravely represented 9 different home countries, including many fighters from China.
The matchups drew applause from the crowd as well of tears from the fighters, who overcame the challenge of training while holding down professional careers and the pressure of participating in a public fighting event.
The event was an amazing success and drew cheers and tears from all those involved.
It was a great night.
Keep your eyes peeled for the next big event by Miki Media and WCFN coming in 2021 with the support of Gateway One development in Shekou.
More to come soon!
