Police Checking Foreigners Registration Tonight (500 RMB Fine)!

According to Aaron Cannon, owner of Chill's Bar in Shekou, who is in close communication with the local police department: police officers will be checking passports and registration of foreigners tonight and issuing fines of 500 RMB. Here is his statement released earlier tonight:
"Attention!!! Shekou foreign affairs police officer just notified me that they will tonight do an operation to check passports and house registrations. Please carry your passport and a copy of your receipt for your registration at all times tonight. There will be a fine of 500 yuan per person for not caring and following the policy. Let's all pass on the word and not get fined."
