Where to Celebrate Chinese Valentine's Day
25 Aug 2017
Every year on the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar is Chinese Valentine’s Day “七夕节 (Qīxījié),” a day devoted to romance. Also known as the Double Seven Festival, the Qixi Festival is recognized as Chinese Valentine’s Day for the romantic love story between Altair and Vega. Altair is said to be Niu Lang (a poor but industrious cowherd), Vega is said to be Zhi Nü (the seventh daughter of the lord of heaven). Whether you're a cowherd, the daughter of the lord of heaven, or not, there are many places to enjoy a romantic evening this Qīxījié. Check out this list below with the ones we've received so far. We'll update this post if more are provided to us.
