What is Fascia? Your connective tissue system, better known as your fascia, keeps your muscles toned, your joints stable, and your organs protected. How well your connective tissue is able to support all these other systems depends on its level of cellular hydration. Why Myofascial (or Fascia) Release? If an area of your body becomes stiff or develops adhesion or scar tissue, this can create a pull on the fabric of the myofascial network, affecting the entire chain. If you wake up stiff and achy; if you easily injure yourself in running, gym/yoga class; if you have digestive or breathing issues...your tissue probably is dehydrated. Myofascial release help a lot in tissue recovering. Myofascial release relieves aches, pain and tightness in the body by bringing oxygen to tissues, increase circulation, increase mobility through increasing slide and glide between the fasica and muscles, and physically and mentally de-stress you. In the special 45-minute pop-up class, you’ll learn how to feel and follow the tension in your fascia and then facilitate a deep, juicy and healing release. Myofascial release relieves aches, pain and tightness in the body by bringing oxygen to tissues, increase circulation, increase mobility through increasing slide and glide between the fascia and muscles, and physically and mentally de-stress you. We will explore your body using the rejuvenating techniques of myofascial release (MFR) in combination with active & passive forms of yoga to re energize your body while relieving stress. Allow gravity to take hold & use the assistance of your own weight to reach deep into your body & release tension, tightness & pain. A guided 15-minute meditation for calm and relaxation If you’re looking for a guided 15-minute meditation that will cultivate focus, compassion, and a more relaxed mind and body, this is a great place to start. You will be guided to notice your present moment experience and move energy throughout your body to refill where you are depleted and release where you have excess. You will feel grounded and calm. This class will support your gym exercise in profound ways, fix trouble spots, and target your overall nervous system for whole-body optimal health. You will be taught some myofascial release techniques so you can stay safe as you restore your connective tissue health and improve your somatic map (sense of your body).
